Every day I spent on Oahu, I laced up my hiking boots, laced up my sneakers, or grabbed my flip flops and went on a hike to a waterfall. Some hikes were muddier than others, so shoes were often an impediment and the mud was so slippery, I was happy to ditch my shoes for bare feet.
